Black Desert Online Rolls Out Crossplay For PlayStation 4 And Xbox One

black desert online crossplay bannerStarting today, Black Desert Online players on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will be able to buddy up and go on adventures together as Pearl Abyss officially rolls out cross-play support for consoles. The central market for both consoles have been merged along with the servers. This means that duplicate character names need to be changed. The studio published a list of guidelines last week explaining how they’ll be handling name changes. Affected characters will have a _BDC suffix and will be compensated with a free name change coupon.

Both the PS4 and Xbox One content are now at par with each other and have been updated with new content. This includes a renewed Kamasylvia storyline and a new World Boss – Offin Tett.

“The fearsome ancient weapon has awoken, and is ready to defend his ancient lands. The Mirumok Destroyer Offin is piloted by the Watcher Offin Tett, and defeating him will give you a chance at obtaining Offin Tett’s weapon!

Offin Tett is available as both a Guild Mission and a World boss. Both have the chance to drop the Offin Tett weapon.”

Pearl Abyss has kicked off a number of special events to mark the occasion. You can browse through the full patch notes on the Black Desert Online official site.
