Blizzard Entertainment Is Hiring For Another Unannounced Game Based On An ‘Established IP’

Last week, Blizzard Entertainment put out a call for developers to work on an unannounced survival game based on a brand new IP. Apparently, the controversial studio is juggling several projects at once as they’re currently looking for a Lead Content Designer for another unannounced game, this time based on an established Blizzard IP.

“We are looking for a talented and experienced designer to join our team working on a brand-new project,” reads the job posting. “The ideal candidate presents designs that blend compelling gameplay and storytelling to help us create play areas, quests, characters, and dialogue for an unannounced project. This person must be able to collaborate within design, audio, localization, art, worldbuilding, and engineering groups to efficiently and creatively implement story-focused content.”

Interestingly, the requirements of the position include the ability to, “Champion a clear vision for mechanically and narratively interesting missions within an established Blizzard IP,” and, “Own the narrative experience for a new Blizzard game.”

Since Blizzard has several “established IPs” in its portfolio, it’s hard to say exactly which one the upcoming game will be based on. The job posting, however, points to what looks to be a narrative-focused single-player RPG.

We’ll let you know as soon as we catch wind of anything. Let the speculations begin!
