blizzcon 2017 news bannerThis year's BlizzCon may have been cancelled because of the pandemic but you can still join in on the fun from the comfort and safety of your own home in the BlizzConline virtual event scheduled for February next year. In fact, everyone can watch and enjoy the event online for free according to Blizzard Entertainment President J Allen Brack.

“[. . .] While we won’t have a physical show this year, we’re very much looking forward to BlizzConline early next. We want it to be a big virtual celebration, so BlizzConline will be free to watch and engage in.

Adjusting to the isolated COVID world that many of us are living in has been a challenge. That said, at Blizzard we deeply love video games, and we are grateful that games are offering millions of people around the world a way to stay connected.”

Brack made the announcement during the latest Fireside Chat episode on YouTube where he also announced the World of Warcraft Shadowlands release date. He also touched on various subjects including creating more inclusive environments and using AI to validate offensive behavior and toxicity reports in their games including Overwatch, Heroes of the Storm, and more recently World of Warcraft.
