Boundless Celebrates 2nd Anniversary, Adds Creative And Sovereign Worlds

boundless forest sunWonderstruck Games gives Boundless players even more creative freedom with the addition of Private Worlds. This new feature allows players to create and run their own planets in the voxel sandbox universe.

Private Worlds are divided into two types: Creative Worlds and Sovereign Worlds. Creative Worlds allow players to create a world without the restrictions normally in place in Public and Exo worlds. Keep in mind that your character progression will be locked once you enter a Creative world. Sovereign Worlds, on the other hand, are private player-owned worlds that allow the owner to freely adjust various rules and components within that world such as block colors, resource and creature spawns, and beacons.

Private Worlds, however, aren't free. The initial cost of creating one ranges from $9.99 to $39.99 depending on the world size. Owners will also be required to purchase World Fuel to keep their private worlds in operation. Newly-created private worlds come with 30 days of free fuel. Additional World Fuel can be purchased for $9.99 for 30 days all the way up to $159.99 for 480 days. Private worlds that run out of fuel will automatically be locked but will not be deleted unless the owner requests for it to be deleted.

Aside from Private World, players can also look forward to new dance emotes for Gleam Club subscribers, a unique emoji, and various quality-of-life improvements. Boundless is also celebrating its second birthday seasonal rewards and birthday gifts that drop from creatures wearing party hats.

More information about Private Worlds can be found in the FAQ on the official forums. You can also check out the videos below for an overview of Creative and Sovereign Worlds.
