While most MMO Halloween events usually run for a few weeks or a month, Broken Ranks, however, is doing things a bit differently for its first-ever Halloween celebration. The event, called Forefather’s Eve, will kick off at 9 a.m. PDT on October 28th and will only run for 30 hours before it ends.

“The time has come for the living to aid those who could not cross the threshold of the afterlife… Their penance and eternal wandering are finally coming to an end. Go on, good people, go on – it is time for witchcraft, do not tarry. Prepare for the rites of Forefathers’ Eve.”

During the event, players will face off against hordes of the undead and will get the chance to help out a few souls seeking redemption by giving them the items that they need to finally find peace. These items are: an Oar for the Drowned Man, a Bucket of Water for the Arsonist, a Coin for the Thief, and a Taernian Sword for the Taernian Deserter.

Note that the event NPCs will appear in various locations across the game world at exactly 12 midnight PDT on October 29th, but the 30-hour event countdown starts at exactly 9 a.m. tomorrow. Players will also be able to earn additional rewards from event bosses that will spawn regularly during the event. Both the event NPCs and bosses will spawn in different zones to allow everyone to participate in the event regardless of their level.

Forefather’s Eve is the third recurring event that’s been added to the indie isometric MMORPG since it launched back in January, the other two being the Valentine’s Day Party and Bunny Marathon, with promises of more in-game events to be added in the future.
