Call Of Duty: Warzone Battle Royale Breaks 15M Players In 3 Days, Adds New Solo Mode

call of duty warzone parachute drop bannerJust when you thought that the battle royale genre was getting stale, along comes Activision Blizzard with a Call of Duty battle royale game called Call of Duty: Warzone. And, like all Call of Duty games, Warzone drew players like flies to a midden heap when it launched on March 10th.

According to an official tweet, the game had already passed the 15 million player mark by Friday, March 13th. Considering how popular the Call of Duty franchise is and the fact that the game is free-to-play, these numbers don’t really come as a surprise. Several other factors may have also played a part in achieving the momentous milestone including the COVID-19 quarantines and lockdowns currently in effect all over the world.

Meanwhile, Infinity Ward has just rolled out an update that introduces the much-awaited Solo Mode to Warzone. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s Multiplayer Mode has also been updated with a St. Patrick’s Day-themed Gunfight map, the Mercenary Moshpit, and Cranked Kill Confirmed.
