Call of Duty: Warzone developer, Raven Software, is finally addressing the problem of rampant cheating and hacking in the popular battle royale with a series of banwaves conducted over the past week.

The studio reports 150,000 accounts banned since August 25 for a total of 750,000 accounts banned since the game launched in March 2020. Raven promises more bans to come as they prepare to roll out a PC anti-cheat system later this year together with a new map.

“This is not a drill: If you cheat, we are coming for you,” tweeted Raven Software. “Banwaves are ongoing, and PC anti-cheat is arriving in Warzone later this year.”

Note that these are hardware bans just in case banned players try to get back into the game using alt accounts. Evidence of that can be found in the Twitter post below.
