City State Entertainment says goodbye to February by shaking up melee combat in Camelot Unchained with the release of their Melee 2.0 update. The game-changing update is aimed at making Heavy Fighters more flexible and more viable in combat and involves a full revamp of the melee ability tree.

“The melee ability tree has changed forms. Building an ability now requires selecting between crushing, piercing, and slashing types of attacks. The ability builder now also allows you to select incompatible components, but highlights them in red. The ability must be valid to be created, but this allows for greater ease of use during the component selection phase.”

New Style Components have also been added for Heavy Fighters to use, including 30 core styles for the Melee Tree classes and 7 unique damage-altering styles for each Fighter-based classes along with updates and additions to each of their shouts. Heavy Fighters have also been updated with new animations.

The team has also adjusted the hit box for giants, updated character and item stats, and are continuing work on the Golden Plains biome. A custom library for development tools is also being built to make it easier for teams to collaborate when making them.
