The Elder Scrolls Online Wrathstone DLC isn’t due for launch until February but if you have access to the Public Test Server you can check it out right now. The upcoming DLC is now live on the PTS along with Update 21 for the base game.

The Wrathstone DLC will kick off the year-long Season of the Dragon storyline which includes the upcoming Elsweyr Chapter. The DLC will reveal the story of how Imperial Chancellor got his hands on both halves of the Wrathstone tablet which he uses in the Elsweyr cinematic trailer to open the Halls of Colossus unleashing Dragons into the Khajiit homeland Elsweyr.

Wrathstone will introduce two new dungeons: Frostvault, the previously-lost Dwarven vault, and Depths of Malatar, an ancient Ayleid ruin hidden beneath a secret Imperial fort. “Both Frostvault and Depths of Malatar can be completed in Normal, Veteran, and Veteran Hard Mode difficulties, and should you complete these 4-player challenges, you’ll be rewarded with powerful new item sets and unique collectibles, including a new skin and a non-combat pet,” says the devs. Players will also receive the Ayleid Royal Crown hat by simply entering either of the two new dungeons.

The base game will also get new content with Update 21 which includes a new Battleground called Eld Angvar. “This new arena is located somewhere in a place between worlds, so be sure to watch your feet as you move between the map’s platforms!” The update also features new PvP rewards which include the Elinhir Arena Lion pet and new weapon Outfit Styles.

Finally, the Update also introduces a host of quality of life improvements the most notable of which are changes the new Zone Guide System, a revamped Guild Trader UI, and changes to the Racial Passive Abilities.

“In order to help you find and complete more of ESO’s zone content, Update 21 introduces the new Zone Guide system. This new tool can be accessed from your Group & Activity Finder or map, and it allows you to see your progress in any of Tamriel’s zones or beyond, tracking activities such as Zone Story Quests, Wayshrines, Delves, Striking Locals, Skyshards, and much more. You can even use this new tool to give you a quest marker to your next objective in order, starting with the zone’s quests. With this new system, everybody that enters Tamriel can easily find their next adventure or help them finally 100% complete a zone.”
