Chinese MMORPG Developer NetDragon Buys Neopets

Chinese MMORPG developer Netdragon, the company best known for Conquer Online and Eudemons Online, acquired Neopets owner JumpStart this week. While not exactly huge news, it does follow the recent trend of Chinese studios continuing their acquisition spree of video game companies in the West. Chinese companies have already bought out popular games like Warframe, ARK: Survival Evolved, RuneScape, League of Legends, and many more. Netdragon's Vice Chairman commented

"The excellent management team led by David Lord, CEO of JumpStart, has built very impressive and popular educational games that are extremely valuable additions to NetDragon's product offerings"

I personally played quite a bit of Neopets back when I was younger. The site features hundreds of flash games as well as a virtual economy and a pet raising/battling system.
