call of duty black ops 4 blackoutThe Chinese police, in collaboration with Chinese tech giant Tencent, recently conducted an operation against a massive organization that designed and sold cheats for popular games such as Call of Duty Mobile and Overwatch.

According to BBC, 10 people were arrested and around $46 million worth of assets, including several luxury cars, were seized during the raid in Kunshan, a small city near Shanghai. The organization reportedly made $76 million by charging subscription fees that ranged from $10 a day to $200 a month, making it the largest organized video game cheat operation in the world.

Video game companies, Tencent included, have intensified their efforts to crack down on cheating in games over the past few years, especially with large sums of money at stake in gaming tournaments in various parts of the world. This latest operation hopefully throws a wrench into what apparently is a very lucrative industry.
