Chivalry 2 has been out for a day and seems that players have taken a liking to all the gore, beheadings, dismembering and flaming chickens being thrown around in the medieval multiplayer hack-and-slash game. The game is so popular that the servers are having a hard time keeping up with the massive wave of players trying to get in the game.

Developer Torn Banner Studios, however, has been quick to address the login issues, which have been resolved as of this writing, and is continuing to work on other issues reported by the community.

“The number of players launching the game today has exceeded even our highest expectations,” tweeted the studio. “We will do our best to ensure you all can get in and play as soon as possible as our top priority.”

In the meantime, players are advised to try other game modes if they’re experiencing matchmaking delays and issues.

Aside from login and matchmaking issues, players who purchased the Special Edition are also reporting missing items included in the bundle. The studio says they’re on top of the issue and that players can fill out this questionnaire if they’re missing bonus items from the pack.
