Jagex officially announced the first solo campaign in Chronicle: Runescape legends today  called the "Trials of Radimus". The update is set to go live later tonight and will also include new dynamic chapter environments and a global and friends chat system. Given the nature of Chronicle and its similarities to games like Heartstone, it's not surprising to see Jagex embrace solo campaigns. Especially since Hearthstone has had tremendous success with their solo adventures. In Trials of Radimus players are tasked with completing a set of adventures set by the Grand Vizier of the Legends' Guild.

“We’ve been planning on giving players a solo campaign mode for quite some time, so we’re really excited to see how they perform in the Trials,” said James Sweatman, lead designer, Chronicle: RuneScape Legends. “The addition of Mac support is something we’ve been asked for since our summer launch, so it’s great to be able to open the Chronicle to more players. We’ve worked hard to ensure that Chronicle: RuneScape Legends is the complete CCG package.”

I suspect the addition of solo campaigns should help make Chronicle: Runescape Legends feel like a more complete CCG package. I've personally enjoyed Chronicle and hope it reaches larger audiences.
