Conan Exiles Devs Say That ‘Work On The Game Is Not Slowing Down’

conan exiles sabretoothIt’s been a little over a month since the incredibly successful launch of Conan Exiles. But, game development doesn’t really stop at launch day does it? Funcom’s weekly Conan Exiles newsletter reveals that the devs are still hard at work on improving the game and diligently taking care of any bugs and exploits that they find.

“We’re one month (and then some) out from the full launch of Conan Exiles, but work on the game is not slowing down. There are still bugs to fix, exploits to remove and balancing and optimizations to implement, and since launch we’ve rolled out several hotfixes to improve various aspects of the game.”

Unfortunately, there’s only so much the team can do. The dev team assures players, however, that they are aware of the problems and will be working on them once they’ve fixed more important issues. “Everything is getting its due diligence,” says the devs. “We may not be able to respond to everything we see, but we’re keeping track of bug reports and feedback from the community to prioritize tasks among the dev team.”

Fixing known exploits are currently on the top of the devs’ list of things that need fixing. “We’re receiving reports through our Exploit Hunters program every day and we’re working diligently to reproduce these exploits and fix them as we learn of them. We want to make it absolutely clear that we are not endorsing exploits of any kind, despite what people online might tell you. Using a bugged mechanic to gain an advantage over your opponents or the game in general is not okay in our book.”

Aside from squashing bugs and improving the game, the devs also have a number of content drops planned for the immediate future, according to the development roadmap that the team posted last week. Players can look forward to a taming and pet system, new dungeons, as well as a paid cosmetic DLC that will include new weapons, armor sets, housing decorations, warpaints, and building pieces.

The Funcom community team talks about these upcoming changes in their latest Community Friday video. You can catch the full dev stream right after the jump.
