Corepunk’s promised closed beta test has been delayed yet again, marking the fourth time that testing has been delayed in the past 12 months. The beta test was initially set to begin in December 2020 but was pushed back to spring 2021, then to August of the same year, and finally to the end of 2021.

We’re now nearing the end of the year but Artificial Core isn’t quite ready to open the doors to the NDA-free playtest just yet. “We’re not ready to host the closed beta test this year, but we’re close,” announced the studio on Discord.

In lieu of the beta test, the studio promises to share extended gameplay footage of the top-down cyberpunk fantasy MMORPG which will showcase some of its key features, including itemization, resource gathering, and crafting. “You’ll see how Corepunk looks and plays right now, while also [getting] a feel for the game’s open world.”

If it were any other developer, the community would probably already be in a fit over the delays. But it looks like they’re cutting the studio some slack considering that the Kyiv-based studio is still dealing with the effects of the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian war.
