Corepunk Drops An Hour’s Worth Of Corepunk Gameplay Footage Showing Off Professions

After an understandable delay, Artificial Core has released an hour’s worth of gameplay footage from its upcoming top-down open world MMORPG, Corepunk. The footage offers a good look at the game’s current state with a focus on the eight crafting and gathering professions which is apparently as important to progression as grinding mobs.

Unlike most MMORPG’s, gathering and crafting will not only level up the associated profession but will also reward XP that will count towards your character’s level. Each profession will have three mastery levels and while it’s entirely possible for players to level up multiple professions, Artificial Core says that you’ll need to focus on one gathering and one crafting profession to be able to craft the best items.

Mastery of a specific profession also decreases mastery in others since penalties will be applied to the profession that hasn’t been used the longest. You can learn more about professions in the new dev video below.

Meanwhile, there’s still no word on when the studio plans to hold its long-delayed beta test, which again, is understandable considering the ongoing conflict in the studio’s home country of Ukraine.
