CS:GO Rumored to Get its Own Battle Royale Gamemode

It seems that not even CS:GO is immune to the Battle Royale bug. Which could be a good thing, or a bad thing, depending on how you look at it. Keep in mind all the information we have available to us right now is rumors and speculation.

It's no secret that as games like PUBG rise, CS:GO falls. Perhaps you could call it a cyclical thing, such as MMOs between major content updates, but for the past few months, CS:GO has been steadily losing players - as PUBG went ahead and demolished both Dota 2 and CS:GO on Steam's most top played games.

Perhaps feeling a bit jealous, Valve might be looking into giving CS:GO its own Battle Royale game mode. Youtuber Valve News Network has went ahead and analyzed the past 10 patches to CS:GO, and has found references to things such as parachutes, fist-to-fist combat, a new map, med kits, and more.

Valve doesn't have to implement a Battle Royale gamemode, and these datamined files hardly mean that they will. Personally, I would be interested in trying CS:GO's take on the Battle Royale genre, but time will tell if these files will give rise to a new CS:GO game mode.
