Darewise Entertainment Reveals Open World MMO ‘Project C’, Pre-Alpha Signups Now Open

project c vehicle ringDarewise Entertainment has just revealed that they’re working on a new and ambitious persistent open-world MMO codenamed Project C. The Paris-based development studio is currently looking for playtesters to test-drive their flagship game for the duration of the pre-Alpha phase.

“Project C is being developed to give gamers a persistent open-world multiplayer experience where they can team up to join clans, build societies and explore an abandoned planet. The world of Corvus will be the centerpiece of the game’s development, a world rich with exotic wildlife, resources and powerful technology.”

Darewise, however, reminds all applicants that this will not be your typical run-of-the-mill play test where you just wait for the email invite before jumping into the game. You’ll have to take a survey and go through an onboarding process which includes a live video chat with one of the developers. If you’re still interested, you can sign up for the playtest here.

“Players are always at the center of a great multiplayer gaming experience, which is why we’re inviting a select group of gamers to join Project C now in such an early stage of development,” says Darewise CEO Benjamin Charbit. “The greatest adventures happen with friends and that’s the real ambition of Project C - to give players a truly dynamic open-world gaming experience to play with and compete against one another.”

Darewise Entertainment is a new studio with an all-star team of developers from companies such as 2K, Guerilla Games, Quantic Dreams, Rockstar Games, Ubisoft, and Valve. The studio has partnered with Improbable and their SpatialOS development system with the goal of evolving open-world gaming.
