Have you been craving a World War II shooter like the classics? Maybe one like Day of Defeat or Medal of Honor: Allied Assault? Something with a faster pace than many of the more "realistic" titles that have hit the market in recent times? Perhaps Days of War will be your game.

Days of War went live on Steam Early Access today, offering fast-paced World War II FPS gameplay. The game takes "a classic style approach" to the genre, giving players anywhere from close-quarters 12-player battles to 32-player all out warfare. What's more, with the game's release on Early Access, developer Driven Arts has announced that there is a new, previously-unannounced Omaha Beach map that offers "epic 100 player battles."

Driven Arts Lead Designer Lee Snodgrass had the following to say about the announcement.

We love tight competitive gameplay more than anyone, but World War 2 was defined by its massive battles and invasions, and we want to bring that experience to Days of War with 100 player combat.

The 100-player Omaha Beach map will be available for the first time from February 3rd to February 5th as part of a weekend event.

You can find more information about Days of War on the Steam store page.
