The highly anticipated Vessel of Hatred expansion for Diablo 4 is almost here, and Blizzard has finally locked in the release times. The expansion is set to officially unlock globally on October 7th at 4 p.m. PDT. If you’re ready to dive back into the chaotic world of Sanctuary, here’s what you need to know.

Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred will take players to the jungles of Nahantu, where they’ll encounter the new Spiritborn class. Fans can also expect the return of NPC mercenaries, who will assist in fending off demonic hordes while they tackle the Dark Citadel, and a new co-op endgame activity, the Dark Citadel, designed to challenge even the most seasoned adventurers.

For the lore lovers, players will also join Neyrelle as she wrestles with Mephisto’s Soulstone in a rich campaign packed with new side quests and world events. “The story doesn’t just continue,” Blizzard noted in a recent blog post, “It evolves, bringing new mechanics and deeper lore to the table.” New Legion events, Renown systems, and Runewords will also give players plenty to chew on in between boss fights.

For those who haven’t yet pre-ordered, it’s not too late. The Vessel of Hatred Ultimate Edition offers some enticing extras, including a Diablo 4-exclusive pet, Alkor the Snow Leopard, and a Mother’s Lament Legendary Gem for Diablo Immortal. You can preorder it here.

With Diablo 4 players having spent $150 million spent on microtransactions alone, it’s clear that community is still deeply invested in the game. Whether you’re in it for the loot or the lore, Vessel of Hatred looks poised to push the game forward once again.

With a level cap increase to 60, fresh skills, and a brand-new Paragon system raising the stakes, Vessel of Hatred is shaping up to be one of Blizzard's most ambitious expansions yet. Don’t miss out—watch the trailer now to see what horrors await you in Nahantu.
