2D Pixel Art MMORPG ‘Drakantos’ Is Launching On Steam And Mobile Soon

2D pixel art games have proven to be extremely popular over the past few years and Wingeon Game Studios is looking to get in on the action. The Brazilian indie studio is currently working on a new free-to-play MMORPG called Drakantos that boasts 16-bit visuals, plenty of playable characters, challenging boss fights, and more.

“Join forces with your friends in Drakantos, a free-to-play MMORPG that brings a unique pixel art style to a cooperative online experience. Immerse yourself in the fantasy world of Derid, brought vividly to life through compelling voice-acted cutscenes. Experience a seamless blend of gameplay and storytelling as you progress through the game.”

Players will be able to choose from 21 unique heroes and embark on hundreds of quests, hunt down bosses, including a 10-phase world boss, and face off against other players in PvP battlegrounds. They’ll also have access to a variety of skins for each hero, orbs and artifacts to customize their character’s build, a housing system, global events, and guilds, among other things.

Wingeon Game has been working on the pixel art MMORPG since last year and is eyeing an PC and mobile release soon. In the meantime, you can now add the game to your wishlist on Steam. You can also check out the official gameplay trailer below for a preview of what it has to offer.
