While Funcom is still keeping its Dune: Awakening testing and release timeline under wraps, the first closed beta test appears to be drawing near as the studio has reportedly started sending out beta keys.

Several fans on Reddit confirmed that they’ve received invitations to sign a non-disclosure agreement prior to receiving keys. Those who refuse to sign an NDA will apparently be informed when an NDA-free is set to begin. Details about the upcoming playtests, however, are still being kept on the downlow.

Meanwhile, Funcom continues to use TikTok videos and YouTube shorts to drum up hype and offer additional slivers of information about the survival MMO. The latest video shares insight into what players can expect during their first few hours on Arrakis. As with most survival crafting titles, that entails scavenging for resources needed to survive on the harsh desert planet, including extracting water from plants. You can check that out right down below.
