The 2001 PlayStation 2 and Xbox ARPG Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance will be reborn later this month with the release of Dungeons and Dragons: Dark Alliance. Unlike the original game, players can now party up with up to three of their friends to explore Icewind Dale and take on the evil forces that have overrun the region.

The upcoming game is set in the Forgotten Realms timeline after the first book in R.A. Salvatore’s Icewind Dale Trilogy and the fourth book in the Legend of Drizzt. Players will be able to jump into the shoes of four popular characters from the novels: Bruenor Battlehammer, Catti-brie, Drizzt Do'Urden, and Wulfgar, and will be able to swap between them in single player mode.

Dark Alliance will be coming out on Xbox Game Pass and on Steam on June 22 starting at $39.99 for the Standard Edition. A Deluxe Edition is also available for $59.99, which includes the Echoes of the Blood War expansion arriving in fall and exclusive gear sets. The game is now available for pre-order on Steam.
