Standing Stone Games’ Amanda Grow has dropped a detailed development roadmap revealing the studio’s content plans for Dungeons and Dragons Online this year. For the DnD MMORPG’s 17th year, the producer teases a new mini-expansion, three new Archetypes, and a free dungeon.

“The free quest will set the stage for the upcoming Mini Expansion in the spring, where players will help Morgrave University try [to] neutralize the threat posed by Vecna,” said Grow. “Our long-running story will reach a peak we know you’ll want to be a part of! We’ll have a lot more information about the story and content of our mini-expansion as we get closer to it. After that we’ll be kicking off a new Hardcore season this summer with another rules change up, but we’ll release more details about that later.”

The 2023 roadmap also outlined several in-game events and festivals returning this year and other noteworthy updates coming this year, including a new adventure pack this fall, Q1’s Update 58, the promised forum revamp, and various game improvements to help reduce lag and enhance performance.
