Dungeons & Dragons Online Adds New Tabaxi Race, Opens Pre-Orders For Isle Of Dread
Today’s Dungeons and Dragons Online update is a big one for the D&D MMORPG, not as big as February’s update but it does introduce something that players haven’t seen in a while: a new race. The feline-like Tabaxi race, which Standing Stone Games has been teasing over the past few weeks, officially makes their debut today with the release of Update 54.
The Tabaxi resemble humanoid jungle cats and are an agile, dexterous, and charismatic race that makes them well-suited for roles like Rogues, Monks, and Bards. They are also cunning and elusive with the ability to deliver sharp, quick blows, to their enemies and get out before anyone ever notices what’s going on.
The Tabaxi’s debut also marks the arrival of the Tabaxi Trailblazer, a new Iconic Hero that starts out in Sharn at the level of Monk. Trailblazers have the ability to move quickly and negate fall damage with bonuses to dodge and tumble. They’re inherent dexterity also allows them to master the quarterstaves.
The new race will be available as soon as the servers are back online from maintenance at 10:00am PDT. You can check out the full release notes here. Meanwhile, Standing Stone has officially opened pre-orders for the upcoming Isle of Dread expansion. Grab your copy from the Dungeons and Dragons Online website while they’re still hot.
The DDO game worlds will be unavailable on Wednesday, April 27th from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM Eastern (-4 GMT) to release Update 54. Find the release notes on https://t.co/GnxzXgfRWV: https://t.co/vFLPMwW8hn #DDO pic.twitter.com/jjEKjgBsRl
