E3 2021: Jack Sparrow Coming To Sea Of Thieves In Pirates Of The Caribbean Crossover Expansion
Pirates of the Caribbean’s Captain Jack Sparrow and Davy Jones will be coming to Sea of Thieves later this month as part of the free “A Pirate’s Life” crossover expansion coming in June 22. Rare Executive Producer Joe Neate revealed the expansion during their E3 2021 showcase, calling it, “the ultimate pirate crossover.”
A Pirate’s Life will be launching as part of the Season Three update and will feature an epic adventure that will take place over five Tall Tales campaigns in new locations based on the Pirates of the Carribean franchise.
“After rescuing Captain Jack Sparrow from an unfortunate predicament, you’ll set sail alongside him to uncover secrets, encounter characters old and new, and clash with surprising enemies as you explore the Sea of Thieves – and visit some new locations that’ll be familiar to fans of Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean film franchise and the theme park attraction. This is a truly epic quest to protect the Sea of Thieves from the dark ambitions of Jack’s nemesis Davy Jones, and it’s the biggest and boldest update to Sea of Thieves since 2019’s Anniversary Update.”
