Elder Scrolls Online Kicks Off Free-Play Event, Grants 500 Crowns To New Accounts

Elder Scrolls Online officially turned nine years old this week and ZeniMax is celebrating the occasion by giving everyone free access to the buy-to-play MMORPG.

“The Elder Scrolls Online April 2023 Free Play Event is now live and will continue until Monday April 17, 2023. During the event period, you can dive into the world of Tamriel during the Second Era at no cost on PC/Mac, Xbox consoles, and PlayStation consoles,” announced the studio.

The free-play event will include access to the base game and four of the fantasy MMORPG’s playable classes: the Sorcerer, Dragonknight, Nightblade, and Templar. Free trial players will also be able to explore 24 of the game’s unique zones and participate in various PvP game modes including battlegrounds and the Alliance War.

Everyone will be given access to the free trial, including those who dipped their toes into the game during previous free-play events. Newly created accounts, however, will get 500 Crowns to help them get off to a running start.

ZeniMax is also offering the High Isles chapter and various upgrade bundles at a discount for those who decide to buy-in after the free trial has ended.
