Elder Scrolls Online Announces The Next DLC In The Dark Heart Of Skyrim Storyline

ZeniMax Online Studios has just announced the next DLC coming to Elder Scrolls Online in a livestream earlier today. According to the preview on the official site, the new DLC, called Stonethorn, will continue the year-long Dark Heart of Skyrim narrative with a new questline and will feature two new group dungeons: Stone Garden and Castle Thorn.

“In the Stonethorn DLC, you and your team can explore two exciting new dungeons that build upon the tales from the earlier Harrowstorm DLC and Greymoor Chapter. Note that while these dungeons are part of a larger, grand narrative, you can jump in and enjoy their stories without having to complete any of the previous Dark Heart of Skyrim adventures. In fact, if you so wished, you could begin your year-long journey right now!”

Update 27 will also launch alongside Stonethorn, bringing with it more performance upgrades including a new critical memory management system, server task messaging fixes, and adjustments to the impact of a number of item set abilities. The free base-game update will also introduce the new Homestead Character Pathing system which will allow players to create paths for their pets, mounts, and assistants to follow. Stonethorn and Update 27 will be rolling out on the PTS next week.

ZeniMax also followed up the stream with a tweet about the upcoming addition of two-person group mounts and the title of the DLC that will conclude the Dark Heart of Skyrim story arc later this year, Darkstorm.

Another announcement: Later this year will be a story DLC called Darkstorm 🌩️ it's the conclusion to the #DarkHeartOfSkyrim.
