Elder Scrolls Online Showcases Necrom’s Arcanist Class In A New Preview Video
This weekend’s IGN Fan Fest 2023 online showcase was chock-full of new reveals, trailers, and announcements from various video game development studios. Among them was ZeniMax Online Studios who offered a sneak peek at the new Arcanist class arriving in Elder Scrolls Online as part of its Necrom Chapter launch in June.
The new preview video features Combat Lead Brian Wheeler as he walks players through combat footage of the new class and its arsenal of otherworldly abilities. According to Wheeler, the Arcanist is the fantasy MMORPG’s most versatile class yet and will come armed to the teeth with various skills that can work with any playstyle.
The Arcanist’s Crux resource, for example, can be consumed to either increase damage, enhance healing, or change up ability effects to adapt to a given situation. When in a pinch, the Arcanist can also use a spell book to unleash a massive energy wave called the Fatecarver at enemies.
The Arcanist will make its official game debut when Necrom arrives on June 5th on PC/Mac and June 20th on PlayStation and Xbox consoles. In the meantime, you can watch the Arcanist in action in the IGN Fan Fest preview video below.
