Elder Scrolls Online Offers Tips And Tricks To Survive The Endless Archive Dungeon

You know that the new content coming to your favorite game will be challenging when the developers themselves take the time to offer you tips on how to survive, as is the case with Elder Scrolls Online’s upcoming Endless Archive dungeon.

In case the dungeon’s name didn’t tip you off, the Endless Archive is a new repeatable dungeon that will go live alongside Update 40. Each run will be randomly generated and is composed of three stages and a boss battle, collectively known as a “cycle”. Complete four cycles and you’ll encounter a boss battle unique to the Endless Archive, which, once defeated, will count as an Arc.

You can jump back in at anytime and pick up where you left off, with the dungeon’s difficulty increasing and its rewards getting better with each succeeding Arc. Rewards include exclusive class sets, cosmetics, mounts, collectibles, and a new in-game currency that players can use to purchase permanent buffs and additional rewards.

If you’re planning to take on the dungeon by yourself, the developers say that you should focus on survivability and resource generation. You should also go for a balanced build since relying too much on damage alone won’t do you any good in the Endless Archive.

“The main thing to watch out for is using a pure glass cannon build,” Dungeon Team Product Owner Shane Slama said. “Because while your damage output may be great, the maligraphies in the Archive may just shatter you before you shatter them.”

Players are also advised to keep an eye out for portals and enter them whenever they appear, use the environment to your advantage, play defensively, and keep a Mystery Verse scroll handy to get you out of a particularly tough spot.
