The Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Road Launches On Xbox And PlayStation Consoles
Elder Scrolls Online players console can now begin their adventures in West Weald as the Gold Road chapter officially launches on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. The new chapter takes long-time Elder Scrolls players on a trip down memory lane as they explore the countryside of West Weald and the city of Skingrad for the first time since The Elder Scrolls Oblivion.
“Within this new zone, you can explore the city of Skingrad in addition to both the Gold Road region and emergent Dawnwood, where you’ll discover a multitude of new side quests, world bosses, delves, public dungeons, and more,” says ZeniMax.
Gold Road also introduces the new Scribing system which allows players to craft their own custom-build abilities. Console players can also look forward to new story quests, side quests, dungeons, delves, world bosses, achievements, items, and more.
“West Weald features 10 powerful item sets to loot and craft in addition to three unique Mythic items to uncover using the Antiquities system,” touts the devs. “Completing Achievements can also earn you a wide range of collectibles, such as style pages for King Nantharion’s Royal Armor or even the Wildburn Lynx mount.”
Those who’d rather stick with the base game can also enjoy the new quality-of-life features and improvements included in Update 42. That includes an overhaul of the in-game mail system as well as the new Adventure Across a Decade achievement which celebrates the game’s 10th anniversary and gives players the chance to earn the Fractured Glory skin by completing specific questlines from some of the most memorable chapters to date, including Gold Road.
Unfortunately, that means that you’ll need to purchase Gold Road and all other required chapters in order to unlock the achievement. You can purchase a copy from the Microsoft and PlayStation storefronts starting at $59.99 for the base edition.
