Elder Scrolls Online Won’t Be Coming To Nintendo Switch

elder scrolls online gold editionA number of online PC games are already making the switch to erm… Switch. Unfortunately for fans of the Elder Scrolls Online, the open-world fantasy MMORPG won’t be making the jump to Nintendo’s portable gaming system simply because the game is too large. "We have thought about Switch but ESO is an enormous game, and it just will not work," Creative Director Matt Firor told Gamespot at PAX Aus. "I would love for it to because I love Switch. It is one of the largest games ever made, and it just will not fit on Switch."

According to Firor, ESO takes up around 75 gigs of space. By comparison, the Nintendo Switch has a maximum capacity of 32GB which would be like trying to fit a baseball into a golf hole, or a sack of flour into, uhm, a sack half its size. You get my drift. The good news, is that Skyrim, the next best thing to ESO, is available on Switch, and a bunch of other platforms for that matter so you can still get your Elder Scrolls fix while on the go.
