Elder Scrolls Online Is Free-To-Play Until August 21, Base Game And Necrom Bundle On Sale

If you missed out on the Epic Games Store’s Elder Scrolls Online giveaway last month, it’s probably going to be a while before somebody gives the game away for free again. But if you want to see what the fuss is all about, you can take try the game for free until August 21st as part of ZeniMax Online’s QuakeCon 2023 celebratory promotion.

“The QuakeCon 2023 Free Play Event gets you access to the ESO base game, which includes four of the game’s classes (Sorcerer, Nightblade, Templar, and Dragonknight), 24 zones to explore and quest in, and access to ESO’s PvP game modes such as the Battlegrounds and the Alliance War,” ZeniMax announced.

Free players will also have access to the Necrom prologue questline that sets the stage for the fantasy MMORPG’s latest story chapter and the new Shadow Over Morrowind overarching saga. Everyone will also get to enjoy a 100% boost to XP gains until August 15th.

If you’re looking to buy the game, it’s currently on sale at 70% off on Steam, or you can snag the Necrom Collection, which includes the base game and all previously released chapters, for just $38.99 until August 17th.
