If you’ve been itching to explore Tamriel on the go, your wish has been granted. Elder Scrolls Online is now officially playable on Steam Deck although it hasn’t quite earned the coveted “Verified” status just yet.

While you can download and play ESO on your Steam Deck, there may be some minor UI hiccups that need to be addressed. Bethesda has acknowledged these issues and is already working on a fix. Once those pesky UI glitches are ironed out, the long-running fantasy MMORPG should be able to achieve full Steam Deck verification.

For context, the Steam Deck Verified rating system has four criteria: Input, Display, Seamlessness, and System Support. It seems that the current UI issues are tripping up ESO in at least a couple of these areas. But with a patch on the horizon, Steam Deck players can expect a smoother, more seamless experience soon.

Elder Scrolls Online joins a growing list of AAA titles that are now playable on Valve’s powerful handheld console. And while it may not be fully verified yet, it’s still a great option for those who want to explore the vast expanses of Tamriel without the need to be constantly glued to their PCs or traditional consoles.
