Elder Scrolls Online Talks Up Update 33’s Account-Wide Achievements
As with previous Elder Scrolls Online Chapter and DLC launches, next month’s Ascending Tide DLC will be launching alongside a free base game update. At the forefront of the update is the introduction of account-wide achievements,
“To ensure that ESO’s performance can keep up and grow with the game’s new experiences, most achievements will become account-wide with Update 33. This means that an achievement that you’ve earned on any one of your characters may also be considered completed across all your characters.”
According to ZeniMax, the change will reduce the database footprint of achievements, which, in turn, should result in faster loading times and improve the performance of other database-heavy operations. It will also pave the way for the addition of new content and achievements in the future.
In line with account-wide achievements, the team will also be changing the method in which players advance the Undaunted Skill Line. Come Update 33, players will be able to acquire Undaunted reputation by completing four-player dungeon quests. The amount of reputation gained will also be increased by completing Undaunted daily quests.
Update 33 will also add new rewards for PvP enthusiasts, including the new Dragonguard Berserker Armor, as well as a Deconstruction Assistant that can be purchased from the Crown Store. The latter is tentatively scheduled for release on March 29th.
The Ascending Tide DLC and Update 33 arrives March 14th on PC/Mac and Google Stadia, and on March 29th on PlayStation and Xbox. Details can be found on the Elder Scrolls Online official site.
