Elder Scrolls Online Update 18 Will Introduce Login Rewards, Crown Store Gifting, And Combat Changes

Major changes are coming to Elder Scrolls Online when Update 18 comes out. These include Daily Login Rewards, Crown Store Gifting, and combat changes.

To earn Daily Rewards, all players have to do is to login to the game. Daily Rewards come in the form gold, Alliance Points, and consumables. Players can also earn Crown Crates or collectibles on specific milestones. Daily Rewards will be reset and changed at the end of every month and players are encouraged to login every day to claim all the rewards for that month.

Crown Store Gifting will enable players to purchase and send premium Crown Store items to their friends. Not every item on the Crown Store can be gifted though. The ability also needs to be unlocked by becoming and ESO Plus member or making a Crown Pack purchase.

Lastly, Update 18 will introduce significant changes to combat, Abilities, and items. Two-handed weapons (Staves, Two-handed Axes, etc.) will count for two item set bonuses. “This change dramatically improves the viability of two-handed weapons, and it should inspire players to express their creativity and find new ways to play,” explains the devs.

Changes will also be made to Abilities to improve the viability of healer and tank roles for all classes along with updates to basic attacks.

“We've also updated basic attacks to reinforce the idea that Light Attacks are for dealing damage and Heavy Attacks are for restoring resources. In addition to this, we also changed Light and Heavy Attacks so that they have stronger ties to your character's Magicka and Stamina pools. This means that if you use a lot of basic attacks in your rotation, you should see a bump in your overall damage output.”
