EVE Online will soon be available anytime and anywhere, even on a tablet, as EVE Anywhere officially enters alpha testing. Well, anywhere where there’s internet that is, as the new feature relies on cloud-computing technology to allow players to play the sci-fi space sandbox MMORPG using any browser.

“EVE Anywhere has been developed in close collaboration with our trusted partner Intel, and allows you to play EVE on the go through Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge – whether you’re on a PC or tablet. This partnership provides EVE pilots with access to high-capacity computing power – via the cloud – as and when it’s needed. Whether you’re fighting, mining, or building an industrial empire, EVE Anywhere can help you switch seamlessly between client and browser-based play.”

The service, however, comes with a minimal fee of 30 PLEX (around $1.50) for 24-hour access to EVE Anywhere. Although there’s talk on Reddit that Omega subscribers probably won’t have to pay any additional fee since it will be included as part of their subscription.
