EverQuest Celebrates Its 25th Anniversary With XP Boosts, Rewards, And An Infographic

EverQuest marked its 25th anniversary this weekend and is celebrating the huge milestone with in-game goodies for everyone. That includes a 50% XP boost, a silver crown headpiece, and other rewards that can be earned from new and returning anniversary quests. VIP subscribers also get a free level 100 character boost, a torch ornament, and an additional XP boost by using the Goblet of Adventure item.

Daybreak Games has also published an infographic that offers some interesting stats and milestones that the long-running free-to-play MMORPG achieved since its launch on March 16, 1999, back when the studio was still known as Sony Online Entertainment.

The infographic reveals that players have racked up over 5,144 centuries of playtime in the 9,132 days since its launch. Players created over 9.32 million characters in that time, with Humans being the most popular race and Warriors being the most played class in the game. 84 of those characters are still active to this day, the most active of which is Kiith which touts a whopping 8,331 days of playtime.
