EverQuest Celebrating 19 Year Anniversary with Launch of a New Progression Server

EverQuest is celebrating it's 19th anniversary with the launch of its newest progression server titled Coirnav. As with previous EverQuest progression servers, players need an all access membership to play on Coirnav. For those looking to celebrate EverQuest's 19 year anniversary on other servers, every single server will get 50% bonus experience between March 16th and March 31st. The game also has a handful of special anniversary events going on where players can earn special mounts and other goodies!

For those unfamiliar with the concept of a "Progression server", they're essentially fresh start servers that begin with the base version of a game and then periodically re-release expansions. This allows players to experience the game the same way it was experienced back in the day.

Given how successful/packed other EverQuest progression servers have been, I expect Coirnav to be do quite well. Other MMORPGs like Ragnarok Online and Rift have also seen quite a bit of success with progression servers and I suspect World of Warcraft's own classic server will do well. Despite being 19 years old now, EverQuest still maintains a fairly healthy playerbase and enjoys regularly scheduled updates and expansion packs.
