FFXIV Callback Campaign coming to a close, ending on July 18th

Final Fantasy XIV's Callback Campaign has been met with questionable success. I say questionable, because we don't exactly have hard numbers. Players returning to FFXIV as a result of this campaign isn't a metric that can be easily tracked.

Nonetheless, Square Enix has decided that the Callback Campaign has had a good run, and has announced its end. As soon as the maintenance for Patch 4.05 starts, current players will no longer be able to tell their friends to join. Patch 4.05 is slated to be released on Tuesday, July 18th, and we'll be covering that in a separate article. This means less than one week from now, players who have been inactive for more than 90 days will no longer be able to reap the rewards of returning via this campaign - which include seven days of free play.

Although this campaign ends on July 18th, players who have been invited to return can accept the invitation to return within 30 days of receiving it. If you have any friends who quit, and you'd like to see them return - even for seven days - now may be the last chance you get to invite them - at least until Square Enix hosts another one of these campaigns.
