FFXIV Stormblood out in full, announces subscription-based Mount Campaign

Today, June 20th, marks the official and full release of FFXIV's latest expansion, Stormblood. Of course, you could have accessed the full game if you had pre-ordered it with Early Access, but lets turn a blind eye to that and celebrate the full official launch of Stormblood!

And of course, with the official launch of a new expansion, Square Enix has also announced a new mount campaign! Players who subscribe, or have an active subscription, for 90 days from July 1st until September 30th, will be rewarded with an all new airship called the Falcon.

This campaign follows Square Enix's decision to end Veteran Rewards, which reward players for being subscribed for a certain amount of time. The Veteran Rewards will not be going away, and players can still access them, but the 14th Tier of Veteran Rewards requires players to be subscribed for 1440 consecutive-optional days. That's nearly 4 years before you can receive Squall Leonhart's outfit from FFVIII. Instead, FFXIV will now host these new subscription-based campaigns, which rewards players for having an active subscription. The Falcon Mount Campaign will be the first one they will be hosting, and you can expect more to come after this one is done.
