Remember when Gaikai tried to sell us on cloud streaming by allowing players to play free trials of MMOs like TERA without having to download the game or go through a lengthy setup process? A new company called Gorillabox is looking to do something similar with their new "G-Loader" technology. G-Loader allows players to play the game they're installing during the installation process by streaming the game to their computer. According to the press release, this allows players to be in-game within 30 seconds.

G-Loader is making its debut in Fiesta Online. Gorillabox is boasting that the registered-user-to-player conversion rate has increased by over 30% due to the use of G-Loader. It attributes the success to increased accessibility, which is "comparable with browser games in terms of immediacy."

Gorillabox CEO Frederik Peter had the following to say about the announcement.

The extraordinary results of our first commercial project in cooperation with gamigo prove that real-time cloud solutions are pointing the way ahead for the future promotion of digital products. With G-Loader, we are heralding the future of game downloads.

However, Fiesta Online isn't the only game that will be incorporating G-Loader functionality. According to the press release, two more online games will be introducing G-Loader functionality early next year. The games in question have yet to be revealed.
