The dawn of a new age in Final Fantasy XIV is close at hand with the Dawntrail reboot expansion set to launch in less than two weeks. In preparation for the expansion’s launch, Square Enix will be taking the game offline for 48 hours, from 2 a.m. PDT on June 26 up until the expansion’s early access launch at 2 a.m. PDT on June 28.

The expansion itself will be available for pre-download starting on June 26 at around 4 a.m. PDT on consoles and June 27 at around 8 a.m. PDT on PC, Steam, and Mac. Due to the size of the update, players are advised to update their clients as soon as possible so they can jump in as soon as the expansion goes live on their platform of choice.

Square Enix also notes that any duty recorder data saved prior to the 48-hour maintenance will no longer be available after the data centers come back online. Early access to Dawntrail will be granted to those who pre-order the game, presumably until the official launch date on July 2.
