The end is near, or should I say Endwalker is here! It’s official launch day for the highly-awaited Final Fantasy XIV expansion, marking the beginning of the end of the epic narrative that began in 2013 with the release of A Realm Reborn.

“Endwalker brings the tale of Hydaelyn and Zodiark to a conclusion eons in the making. Uncover truths long concealed as you embark upon an epic quest to deliver the world from encroaching doom.”

Square Enix reminds players who registered using an early access code to register again using their full product code to continue playing the expansion once the early access period ends on December 10th.

Executive Producer Naoki Yoshida has penned another letter to address the network errors that cause players to be booted from the game while waiting in queue, namely. He says that they’re currently working on a solution for the two most common errors, namely: Error 2002 and Error 3001.

Yoshida also acknowledged the need for additional server capacity, saying that the team is doing everything they can to add new worlds and that it will probably take some time to do so. Meanwhile, players are still contending with long queue times and other network congestion issues.

To celebrate the expansion’s launch, Square Enix has partnered with online food ordering platform Grubhub to give players a chance to earn a special emote. Use the promo code “ENDWALKER” at checkout between 4:30pm PST on December 9th to 8:59pm PST on December 15th to get an exclusive Eat Pizza emote and get free delivery during The Game Awards 2021 which will be held on Thursday, December 9th.
