Final Fantasy XIV Explains How To Get Into The Upcoming PlayStation 5 Beta Test

Square Enix explains how players can opt-in to the upcoming Final Fantasy XIV beta test on the PlayStation 5 in a new post on the official site. The beta test will be open to all players who currently own the game on the PS4 and PS5 players getting into the game for the first time through the free trial.

Existing PS4 players who decide to participate in the beta will have access to the same content as the PS4 version of the game and will also need to purchase game time. Free trial players, on the other hand, will have access to the same content that’s available to free trial accounts. Both, however, will get to enjoy full 4K resolution, higher frame rates, faster loading times, 3D audio, and haptic feedback on the PS5.

The Final Fantasy XIV beta test will begin alongside the Death unto Dawn patch which will be launching on PC and PlayStation 4 on April 13. More information can be found on the Death unto Dawn microsite.
