Final Fantasy XIV Pauses Housing Demolition On EU Servers Following Turkey-Syria Quake

Final Fantasy XIV players in Europe won’t have to worry about losing their houses due to inactivity as Square Enix has suspended housing demolition in the region in light of the massive earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria earlier this week.

Starting today, demolition timers for all Chaos and Light worlds have been indefinitely disabled to allow players on those worlds to focus on more important matters until the affected countries can get back on their feet.

“It is our sincere hope that recovery is swift, and those of you who were affected will be able to rejoin us in Eorzea soon,” said Square Enix.

Reuters confirms over 21,000 dead, over 68,000 injured from the series of massive quakes that struck central and southern Turkey and western and northern Syria. Our sympathies go out to the millions of people affected.
