Final Fantasy XIV’s Endwalker expansion might be spelling the end of an era for Square Enix’ long standing MMORPG when it launches this November, but that’s not stopping the team from rolling out smaller updates for its current expansion. Patch 5.57 is now live, making life in Eorzea a whole lot easier for adventurers.

The latest update makes it significantly easier to upgrade Relic Weapons by tripling the drop rate of Timeworn Artifacts in Delubrum Reginae from one Timeworn Artifact to three. This means that getting the 15 Timeworn Artifacts needed for the upgrade will only require five runs instead of fifteen. The weekly cap for Allagan Tomestones of Revelation have also been doubled from 450 to 900.

In addition, the weekly entrance restrictions for Eden’s Promise on Savage difficulty has been removed and players will now receive the Echo buff the moment they step into the instance. Do note that unlike other instances, the strength of the buff will not increase should all party members be incapacitated.

Improvements have also been made to the Bozjan Southern Front and an option to transfer to a different server from the character selection screens has been added to allow players to easily switch between worlds to avoid congestion.

Details can be found on the Patch 5.57 release notes on the Final Fantasy XIV official site.
