Final Fantasy XIV Stream Answers Stormblood Questions, Releases Benchmark Test

Final Fantasy XIV's "Letter from the Producer Live Part XXXV" (too many X's) answered a number of questions about Stormblood and released the expansion's benchmark, which players can download and try for themselves. The official forums have the full Q&A script to peruse at your leisure.

The benchmark trailer below shows off a good bit of what players can expect from Stormblood, including a number of new abilities and beautiful underwater environments. For players running old rigs thinking about upgrading, Stormblood might be the time to do it.

From the Q&A you can glean an overview of new characters to expect in the Expansion's story. We learned that housing will not be immediately available when the expansion releases, but when it is added players will be able to move their old houses; the size of Stormblood's environments will be about the same as Heavensward; and there will be 24 new vistas to soak in.
