Final Fantasy XIV Is Giving Away Free Starter Editions To Twitch Prime Subscribers
Square Enix seems is looking to entice more players into the fantastical world of Eorzea with the Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers expansion looming on the horizon. According to Polygon, from now until May 3rd, Twitch Prime users on Windows will get a Starter Edition, normally worth $19.99, for free. The promotion also comes with 30 days of free game time.
The Starter Edition will let you play up to level 50 and experience everything the game has to offer before the Heavensward expansion. Jobs will also be limited to those from the base game which means you won’t be able to roll an Astrologian, a Red Mage, Dark Knight, Machinist, and Samurai. And, since FFXIV is a subscription-based game, once your free 30 days are up you’ll have to shell out $14.99 per month for a multi-character account or $12.99 per month for single character. Don’t worry, you won’t lose your characters should you decide to discontinue your subscription.
The Shadowbringers expansion is slated for launch on July 2, 2019.
