Final Fantasy XIV's Callback Campaign Returns for the Second Time!

Final Fantasy XIV is hosting a rerun of its Callback Campaign! We previously covered the Callback Campaign, and though the incentives for a returning player are there, its questionable as to how much it actually works, as it has a strict limitation.

• The returning player must have been inactive for at least 90 days.

This 90 day mark is significant, yet at the same time, a bit meaningless. On average, Final Fantasy XIV releases major content updates every 3 months - 90 days. People who play only while the content is in its heyday will let their FFXIV subscription lapse, and then will most likely re-subscribe when the content is coming back.

Whether or not this is effective, Final Fantasy XIV has decided that this campaign was worth bringing back for a second run. Running from October 10th, until January 4th - an 87 day duration - players can invite people on their friends list back to give Final Fantasy XIV another go. This is an issue, as if you would like to invite a Free Company (see: guild) member back to FFXIV, you cannot do so. Friends list only.

The rewards are the same as last time. The player who is invited to return gets 7 free days of play time, 99 Aetheryte Tickets (free teleports), and 10 Silver Chocobo Feathers, good to trade in for gear.

If the returner purchases a subscription with 90 days of returning, the inviter gets 5 Gold Chocobo Feathers - good for rare dyes and mounts! So find someone on your friends list and badger them to come back today! Or badger them sometime before January 4th.
